PageMaker has been deleted.... Introducing StressMaker!

This week we have mostly been working on our assignments. That meant another week using the horrid program PageMaker, which I find very hard to use as there is no scroll! It also lacks in other functions that make writing relatively easier. I was pleased to find that Dianne was around to lend a hand. She showed me how to change the text font so that it matches Steve’s criteria.

I was pleased to have the one-to-one chat with John on Tuesday morning as it helped me organise my work. He showed me ways to keep my sketchbook tidy and easy to relate to. Although I knew parts of this organisation "stuff" I never started using them until now. I feel that they are really important and will help me in the future.

I also attempted another shot at Photoshop, which went wrong, but I did learn some new features in the program like the "magic wand". During my self study time, if I get the chance with all the assignment work that needs to be completed before next Thursday, I will be trying to learn more features of Photoshop. I will also be enhancing my bog during self study time, to make sure it is kept tidy and professional looking.

The "Blogger" lesson with john was very good, even though he made me show my blog to everyone in the class. I learned what I need to change to make my blog much better. I was pleased to find that my blog wasn’t the only one that was lacking in professional inputs.

I am getting quite nervous now as the deadline for our assignment hand in date is getting closer. I will need to purchase "StressMaker" and install it at home to ensure that I get everything complete for the deadline date. After the assignment hand in date we will be going to the pub! Something to look forward to...

If your struggling with PageMaker my advice would be to try and get hold of it ASAP and get used to using that before trying to get to grasps with Photoshop. After half term we start a Photoshop assignment so I'm sure Steve will be giving us advice on how to use it, as he did PageMaker so I wouldn't get too stressed out trying to use Photoshop (as I did a few weeks back).

If your stuck on PageMaker, and I can help in anyway then Craig sent round an e-mail, and my address is on there, just let me know. You could ask me in class too if you still can't get it at home before Wednesday.

Same goes for your blog too, as I know you had a few problems yesterday.
