A hint of confidence

The deadline day is just seven days away. I feel like I have got a lot of work to do, but not as much as I thought I would have. I came into college on Monday, which I am glad, as I completed a lot of needed work. I feel that I can work a lot better in college than I can at home, where I get disrupted often. The extra day on Monday really let me concentrate, it is something that I will start doing on a regular basis.

I also had a meeting with Steve on Monday, as I was stuck with my pixel conversions. He really helped me sort out my problem. This helped me get back on track as I was running a little behind. I knew from the feedback that I needed to show three screen designs and not two. This was something that I overlooked before. I will also keep this in mind for the next time I create a plan. I had the chance to look at some of the second years work but I didn't ask as I don't really know them. I feel that next time I see them I will ask for some inspiration. I now know they don't bite after I talked to some of them over coffee (Or a caramel mochachino).

Wednesday was a crack on day, apart from the announcements Steve made. I was able to complete more work, although most of my time was taken by my screen designs. These took hours to complete, but in the end I feel like I have made a much better job of it this time around. My first screen design work on A2 was rather messy. I will have to continue my screen designs like this in future, as they are much better. I also created the plan based on feedback from other members. I am really grateful of the feedback I received. It was helpful to see how different opinions people in the class had. I feel that the feedback sheets me and my feedback group came up with are a great idea and I advise other people (if they haven't already) to give them a try.

Thursday was spent mostly putting everything in the right order and making sure they were properly referenced. The references took absolutely ages! I kept finishing them and then finding a mistake at the beginning, which meant I would have to retype all the other references after. After I had received feedback from Steve I realise that they are still not correct. I must do more proof reading before I make changes, as this will reduce the time. I feel like I wasted a lot of time changing my references and not enough time on the important things.

The only thing I feel I am quite behind in is my banners. I feel that I should of spent more time with them. I will definatly have to stick to my time plan next time.

The feedback meeting from Steve went really well I thought. I now know what I need to change, ready for handing in.

This week I will be making sure that I make all the emendations that Steve has gave me, as well as my own proof reading. I will also make sure that I stick to my time plan. I will also be coming into college during next week if I am not interrupted by work ringing me. I feel like I will complete everything on time. I also feel that I must put more effort into my Blog, as last week I admit I neglected it. I feel that I have let Steve down by not making any comments, so this week I will try to make as many as I can. I have definitely put a 100% more effort into this week than any other. I will keep it up through the next week as well. I would like to achieve a merit, although passing first time would also surprise me.

Bring on the deadline!

Quick question do you have a book called how to draw manga? because I recognised an image from the one that I have that looks like the computer image of the girl on your blog

If our feedback group can get the report finished for Wednesday or on Wednesday we should all swap reports to proof read them I know it helped me a lot in our last assignment.

Yes I agree. I think that proof reading worked really well before. I think this time I will do even more though, as I still had mistakes the first time.

And yes I do have that book chris. I bought it whilst I was on holiday I think. Really helped me with my art work. It's the sort of thing I draw when I am using Flash.

Yeah I like that style of drawing hopefully going to do some this holiday and get them on good ol' blogger.

It's a good book but I tend to use the How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way or How to Draw Superheroes. Is there a theme appearing?

Yes I definately think that we should proof read each others assignments becuase you always seem to miss things which other people spot straight away!
