All Clear!

My tutorial with Steve on Wednesday afternoon was quite useful. I had not got myself in trouble for spelling mistakes, late emails, etc. which was good, as he usually has something to say to me. I was quite pleased that I had completed everything without missing any details. I used this time to show him some of my work in my sketchbook, where he could give me some feedback on what I had done. I will use this feedback to make my sketchbook better in the future.

I enjoyed the lecture on colour patterns as it was more arty work than technical, which to me is easier to learn. I find it strange that it was a scientist that invented the colour wheel rather than an artist, which I thought had invented it. I also found a new colour pattern, which I had not come across in Steve's lecture. I showed him this and he didn't have a clue either. During my spare time I am going to research on this and try to find out what it is.

I have started to use the C.A.R.P. lecture and enter some of the technical terms in with my Back to BASIC assignment. I feel that I needed this in my first assignment, however this lecture didn't come until we had completed it.

The feedback group with Steve this Thursday morning also went well. I found out what I was missing from my assignment, but also some other key points that I could use to improve my grade. I am going to try my hardest to receive a pass first time, or maybe even a merit!

In class we have also started to use the "P"word (Photoshop). I have found this relatively easier than what I had expected. My previous encounter with the "P" word was not a successful one. I hope to learn more about the "P" word and I am quite excited about the image manipulation section of our assignment. This will let me get my hands dirty with the "P" word, and really grasp its usability.

During the weekend I will be working on my feedback from Steve on my assignment. I will be doing some research into my goals and my competitive analysis to increase my chances at getting a merit. I also need to do some work on my referral assignment, which is starting to drag me back. I hope I can get this finished and out of the way during the next two weeks. I can use my feedback from Steve to increase my grade on my referral work, which doesn't need much altering, although I shouldn't leave it to the last minute.
