London Strike

Wednesday's trip to London turned out to be quite the opposite of everyone's thoughts. It was a shame that the main purpose of going to London, was shut because of a strike! I think the majority of the class was disappointed in this. We had travelled a long way to visit Tate Modern. I wish that we would of found out about the strike earlier, as we might of had the chance to change the date. We did, however, have the chance to look around London, and see many of its inspiring buildings.

The rest of the afternoon was a bit of a mess in my opinion, although this was not Steve's fault. The museum had really messed up our time plan for the day, and in the end everyone went off in their own direction. I feel that this was good as we was able to do our own things. I found many inspiring images and signs, although I regret not taking enough photos, as everyone was walking faster than me. I didn't feel like getting lost in London on my own! I do hope we get another chance to go to London to see the Tate Modern museum, or any other museum Steve thinks is worth visiting.

The tests we had on Thursday were quite challenging. I am glad that the first one Steve gave us was juast a test, as I didn't manage to complete it in time. I am glad he gave us these tests, as they were able to challenge our experience so far. I feel that what I had created was quite good, although I saw some better designs from other peers. I feel that I have progressed well with typography.

Our meeting with Steve went well. I was able to receive some feedback from my very green website. I knew what the feedback would consist of though. I am quite glad that we can make changes to our designs, and not have them 100% to our plans, which I thought we had to. I hope to make good progression with the rest of my website.

I look forward to Johns lesson next week, as I am willing to learn what he has to offer. I also hope that I can come in on Tuesday throughout the day to print off my referral work, as well as work more on my website.

You should have made your way over to the Design Museum. Very inspiring.

I second that. That's probably ten times more interesting than the Tate.
